These options control the additional data you can output alongside the visual conversion.

Note: These features are part of the Pro plan ($39, one-time purchase). The plugin itself is free to install, and the Free plan still handles structure, styles, groups, and other basic conversions.

Quick reference

Enable prototype interactions

Default: ON Converts XD prototype interactions (tap, drag, time-based triggers) to Figma prototype connections. Preserves navigation flows, overlays, and animations.

Supported: screen transitions, overlays, back-navigation, scroll, transitions, and easing.

Import document colors & text styles

Default: OFF Imports XD’s Assets panel colors and text styles as local styles in Figma. Convenient when migrating a design system and you want the styles immediately available in Figma.

  • Colors: XD color assets → Figma Paint Styles
  • Text styles: XD character styles → Figma Text Styles (font, size, line height, letter spacing)

Generate conversion notes

Default: OFF Outputs a separate page documenting potential issues detected during conversion. Includes warnings about font fallbacks, text clipping risks, CJK baseline offsets, and similar concerns.

When to use: Enable on the first conversion of a new file to identify spots that need manual verification.

Preserve original artboard positions

Default: OFF Places the converted frames at the same canvas positions as the artboards in your XD file. When OFF, frames are lined up in a single horizontal row (100 px apart).

When to use: Enable when the XD canvas layout itself carries meaning — screen flows arranged in order, grouped sections, or spatially organized screens — so the arrangement survives the migration as-is.
